How do I scan a care label?

Open the app and point your camera at the care label on your garment. Hold steady until the scan completes. CareLabl works best with good lighting and a flat, unobstructed label.

The scan didn't work. What should I try?

Make sure the label is well-lit and fully visible in the camera frame. Avoid shadows and wrinkled labels. If the label is faded or damaged, results may be less accurate.

Does CareLabl identify fabric content?

Yes. CareLabl reads both the care symbols and the fabric composition from your label photo. You'll see the material breakdown (e.g., "60% Cotton, 40% Polyester") alongside your care instructions.

What types of labels does CareLabl support?

CareLabl supports both ISO 3758 (international/EU) and ASTM D5489 (US/Canada) care label systems. It handles symbol-based labels, text-based labels, and combinations of both.

How does the free trial work?

New users get 3 days of full Pro access — unlimited scans, full garment library, all features. No credit card required. After the trial ends, subscribe to continue using the app.

How much does Pro cost?

CareLabl Pro is available at $24.99/year (just $2.08/month), $3.99/month, or $49.99 for lifetime access. All plans include unlimited scans, a full garment wardrobe, and temperature unit preferences.

Do you offer student pricing?

Yes! Students get CareLabl Pro for $1.99/month — 50% off the standard monthly price. To qualify, tap "Student?" on the upgrade screen in the app and verify with your .edu email address. You'll receive a verification link; once confirmed, the student rate appears automatically.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel anytime through your device's subscription settings. On iPhone: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. On Android: Google Play Store > Subscriptions. Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, depending on where you purchased the subscription. Visit Apple's refund page or Google Play's refund page to request a refund.

I switched phones. How do I restore my subscription?

Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID or Google account, not your device. Just sign in with the same account on your new phone, open CareLabl, and your Pro access will restore automatically.

Privacy & Data

Does CareLabl store my photos?

No. Photos are sent to our server for analysis and are discarded immediately after processing. We never store, save, or share your images.

Where is my garment library stored?

Your garment library is stored locally on your device. It is never uploaded to our servers. If you delete the app, your library is deleted with it.
